Lars Lerin
Lars Ivar Lerin, born on April 2, 1954, in the parish of Munkfors, Värmland County, is a Swedish painter, graphic artist, and author whose primary medium is watercolor and printmaking, featuring illustrations from his own travelogues. He lives in Hammarö, outside Karlstad. Lerin grew up in Munkfors in central Värmland as the son of bandy player Jonny Lerin (1928–2020) and Gerd Lerin (1930–2022). He studied at Gerlesborg School in Bohuslän from 1974 to 1975, with Arne Isacsson as his artistic mentor, and at Valand Academy of Fine Arts in Gothenburg from 1980 to 1984.He has exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions at galleries and museums in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway, Germany, and the United States.
