Weddings at Skara Stadshotell
At Skara Stadshotell , we Stadshotell a long history of hosting all kinds of parties and events on our premises. In our newly renovated banquet hall, you can spend the day in a romantic setting featuring stunning stucco work, high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, herringbone parquet flooring, and antique paintings and columns. The banquet hall consists of a large salon with room for 200 guests, and four smaller rooms that are ideal for a dance floor, dressing room, and whatever else you may need. We also have a lovely balcony overlooking Skara Cathedral and the park—perfect for a toast to the bride.
We tailor our services to your needs
When you rent the banquet hall for your wedding, the package includes tableware, tables, chairs, white linen tablecloths and napkins, candles, and a basic sound system. Our chefs can prepare dishes according to your preferences and create a fantastic dinner featuring locally sourced, seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. Our sommelier can pair drinks with the menu to create a dining experience you’ll never forget. We offer fine quality wines, local craft beer, and non-alcoholic beverage options. After dinner, we can set up a bar service, and if you’d like a simple wedding cake, we can arrange that as well.
Close to Skara Cathedral
If you’d like an intimate and beautiful wedding ceremony, we can arrange it at our venue. If you’d prefer to hold it at the stunning Skara Cathedral, it’s just 50 meters from the hotel. A lush, tree-lined path leads from the cathedral, which you can walk down with your guests to the hotel. Thanks to its strategic location, you’ll never have to worry about transportation—you can hold your wedding ceremony, dinner, and reception all in one place.
Tips and advice
The hotel provides a basic sound system, which is included in the venue rental fee. It’s ideal for giving speeches or playing music. However, if you’d like to have a live band or a DJ, we recommend that you bring your own sound system. We do not have our own photographers, musicians, florists, or wedding officiants. However, we’re happy to offer tips and advice if you’d like. Please contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
