In the stand-up show “Citizen Nûjen,” Özz Nûjen explores what it really means to be a citizen in Sweden today. What are our rights, and what are our obligations? And what does it mean to be a citizen in a country where rights are being called into question and where citizenship is no longer a given for everyone?

With his unique blend of infectious humor and sharp political satire, Özz tackles the political landscape ahead of the upcoming Swedish election. He examines whether campaign promises have been broken, investigates which politicians have made empty promises, and doesn’t hesitate to call out the parties’ betrayal of their own voters. No one is spared his sharp gaze—all parties in the Riksdag can expect their fair share of Özz’s scathing humor.
Leading up to the 2026 election, Özz will perform “Medborgare Nûjen” in 100 locations across virtually all of Sweden.
